The Tennessee Titans injury situation remains cloudy just two days ahead of Sunday Night Football in Kansas City, and the updates following Friday's practice are providing more questions than answers.

The status of many key Titans players still remain in question. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill (ankle) had a very limited week of practice, and will likely be a game time decision for the Titans on Sunday. Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (ankle) did not practice all week, and is listed as questionable, and OLB Bud Dupree (illness) is now questionable after missing practice on Friday.

Safety Amani Hooker was already ruled out for the Titans with a shoulder, and perhaps the most puzzling injury update was from Mike Vrabel on Friday regarding DB Elijah Molden.

After being designated to return from Injured Reserve earlier this week, Molden was back on the practice field this week, and told me in the locker room on Wednesday that he was expecting to play against the Chiefs.

According to Vrabel's Friday update, that would no longer be the case, and Molden is not expected to be brought up and play on Sunday night. The Titans 53-man roster instead remains at 52.

Did Molden have a setback? Will it be Malik Willis at quarterback again? Did Simmons miss the practice week as a precaution?

With so many key contributors in question, the Titans injury situation is getting more convoluted as the week goes on and the dominos continues to fall.

Tennessee needs both Tannehill and Simmons (at the very least) to play to have realistic hopes of competing in Kansas City, but with Molden now unlikely to play and Dupree suddenly landing on the injury report, things are not looking great.

The Titans have a walkthrough on Saturday before they travel that can hopefully turn things around.
