The NFL trade deadline is rapidly approaching, with all deals needing to be done by 4 PM ET on Tuesday, November 1. Naturally, many front offices are scrambling to fill roster holes and fanbases are anxiously awaiting news regarding their favorite team.

Currently sitting atop the AFC South after a five game win streak, the Tennessee Titans (5-2) are a hot topic in the trade talks.

The Titans have climbed the standings to the number two seed in the current AFC playoff picture despite having a few clear holes and flaws in their roster construction.

Tennessee lost starting left tackle Taylor Lewan for the season to ACL surgery, first round wide receiver Treylon Burks to turf toe, star pass rusher Harold Landry to a torn ACL, and has battled through injuries to their secondary that has forced them to find depth pieces from other practice squads.

The Titans are a contender, and they clearly need the help. The recent betting odds for the NFL trade deadline reflect that. Tennessee is listed, according to bookies.com, as one of the five favorites to land a number of impact players that could be dealt ahead of the deadline. The only problem?

Some of the odds don't make much sense.

Chase Claypool and Elijah Moore are not impossible. Brandin Cooks makes sense as a roster fit, but he carries a $26 million cap hit next season that the Titans would never realistically take on. Jerry Jeudy will likely cost more draft capital than the Titans can afford to give up, and I'm not sure how inclined Denver will be to move him given the money that is already tied into their quarterback.

Kareem Hunt, though? Really?

The Titans are listed as second most likely landing spot for the current Cleveland Browns running back, and yeah, I don't see it.

Not sure if the oddsmakers watched the Titans-Texans game from Sunday, but the last thing the Titans are in need of acquiring is a running back. Derrick Henry is still the best there is, and Dontrell Hilliard has been excellent in his complimentary role.

Moving draft picks (of any caliber) for Hunt would be asinine.

The Titans have bigger fish to fry.
