Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel spoke to the media on Tuesday for the first time since starting right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere was suspended by the NFL for violating the league's gambling policy.

Naturally, Vrabel was asked about the suspension and what went wrong with Petit-Frere and the communication of the league's policies. "We're all responsible – myself, the team, Nick, the players association, everybody. We're all responsible for continuing to educate our players on the gambling policy, the personal conduct policy," said Vrabel. "We're held to a high standard being in this league and being a part of it. So we'll continue to do those things and have to make great decisions."

Vrabel also answered the question that is top of mind for every Titans fan. With Petit-Frere sidelined for the first six games of the season and limited depth options on the roster, who is going to start for the Titans at right tackle to open the year? By the sound of things, Tennessee is going to give anyone and every a chance to earn the job.

"Jamarco [Jones] has worked over there in the first couple of days," said Vrabel. "I think Andrew Rupcich will play over there. I think Jaylen [Duncan] will have a shot over there. I think [John Ojukwu] will have a chance over there, John [Leglue]. We'll kind of see where things go. We'll find the best person there."

While the Titans appear prepared to try a number of internal options to right tackle, veteran Daniel Brunskill and 11th overall pick Peter Skoronski are two players not currently being considered.

Vrabel told media on Tuesday that Skoronski is, at least for right now, going to remain at guard. The former Northwestern Wildcat showed a lot of growth during summer practices and Tennessee is hopeful that his development will continue during camp.

As for Brunskill, the Titans have been outspoken all offseason about his versatility and ability to play all five offensive line positions. That line of thinking hasn't changed, but Vrabel said on Tuesday that the team is hoping to solidify a starting offensive line group before completely reshuffling the deck. That means Brunskill is "not going to be in the first group of options" for right tackle.

Veteran free agent George Fant is another name to watch. The Titans hosted Fant for a workout this weekend, and I have to imagine he would immediately plug in as Tennessee's starter if signed.
