According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is expected to be suspended to begin the 2023 NFL season.

Kamara was arrested back in February after playing in the NFL Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Kamara was seen on video punching and beating a man in a Las Vegas night club the night after the game.

Kamara is scheduled to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell Wednesday afternoon, and while the length of his incoming suspension is not yet known, the league is going to come down on the Saints' star running back.

Regardless of how many games it is, the Tennessee Titans are catching a break. Tennessee opens the season in New Orleans on September 10th. The Saints will now be shorthanded for that game and will need Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller to step up in Kamara’s absence.

The Titans had the top run defense in the league last season, so a versatile back that is a real threat in the passing game like Kamara is the last thing the Titans defense needs to see in Week 1.

It should be a lot easier for Tennessee's front seven to handle Williams and Miller. Hopefully that's enough to get the season started with a win.
