The Vanderbilt Commodores were blown out by the Tennessee Vols in late November in Knoxville.

But that didn't stop Vandy from throwing some shade at Tennessee after the Vols' loss to the Purdue Boilermakers in the Music City Bowl on Thursday.

The Commodores' official athletics account posted a tweet that made fun of Tennessee's 0-1 record in Nashville this season.

This is obviously a shot at the talk from this past week that Tennessee is "Nashville's team".

And while the tweet is technically true, it leaves out some relevant information.

Such as the fact that East Tennessee State beat Vanderbilt in Nashville earlier this season. Or the fact that Vandy was 1-6 in Nashville in 2021.

The Commodores went 2-10 this season. They should probably sit this one out. Tennessee already won this battle on the field when they beat Vandy 45-21 on November 27.
