A Tennessee Vols fan is back to work after suffering a wild injury while celebrating UT's thrilling 52-49 win against the Alabama Crimson Tide this past season.

The fan, Adam from Hendersonville, called into 104.5 The Zone's "Ramon, Kayla, and Will" on Friday morning.

And his story left no doubt that he'll forever have a unique memory from Tennessee's win over Alabama.

According to Adam, he shattered both of his heels while trying to get to the field after Chase McGrath's wobbly 40-yard game-winning field goal.

"When Tennessee won, I ran down there (to the field) and shattered both my heels on impact," said Adam. "I waited there for about an hour and a half for a stretcher because there were like 70,000 people on the field."

Adam said he was heading for the goalpost and yelled "yippee" as he jumped and proceeded to shatter his heels (he said he was "completely sober" by the way).

While the incident sounds horrible, Adam had a great sense of humor about it.

The storytelling is incredible. Check it out:

That's a brutal way to experience one of the best moments in Tennessee football history.

But it sounds like Adam had a great outlook on the whole situation. And he delivered another great story from a night that Vols fans won't soon forget.
