Tennessee Vols quarterback Joe Milton is in New York this week with wide receiver Ramel Keyton, his teammate at UT, on a branding tour with Spyre Sports (Hendon Hooker and Cedric Tillman took a similar trip last offseason).

While in New York, Milton stopped by the NFL Network studios for an appearance on "Good Morning Football".

And during the appearance, which was broadcast live on Tuesday morning, Milton publicly laid out his goals for Tennessee football in 2023.

Plenty of analysts are expecting the Vols to take a step back in 2023 with key players like Hooker, Tillman, Jalin Hyatt, and Darnell Wright off to the NFL.

Milton, however, isn't expecting that at all. In fact, he made it clear on Tuesday that he's aiming to win "three rings" in 2023.

"Whatever my goals are that I may have, that’s not the goals that I want to achieve right now because the team is more important than I am," said Milton. "It’s all about the team at this point. We’ve got three rings to chase for and everything else will just fall in place. If the Heisman comes up, then it comes up. At the same time, if we’re winning then it’s just going to take care of it.”

Milton didn't get specific about which three rings he's talking about, but I think it's pretty clear what he's referencing — the SEC East, the SEC Championship game, and the College Football Playoff championship.

The days of Tennessee hoping to reach a bowl game or just win 10 games are long gone. The Vols now have their sights set on the ultimate goal. And while it's impossible to know right now if they'll reach that goal, it has to be refreshing for Tennessee fans to know that the program has high expectations that they expect to accomplish.
