The trip to NYC is related to some NIL responsibilities for Hooker and Tillman (Hooker's older sister, Nile, helps manage his NIL dealings).
Part of the trip saw Hooker and Tillman visit NASDAQ in Times Square, among other places.
NASDAQ welcomed Hooker and Tillman to Times Square via a massive photo of the two, along with plenty of orange and white (and checkerboards).
Check it out:
This is absolutely great exposure for the Vols. Thousands and thousands of people traverse through Times Square daily. I don't know how long that image was up, but even if it was just a couple of minutes, it means that over 10,000 people likely saw it while standing in Times Square. And many of those folks were probably tourists, meaning they'll subconsciously carry that image back with them to their respective hometowns.
NIL is changing the way college football operates. And it's clear that Tennessee is doing its best to embrace NIL deals with current student-athletes.
By the way, the next time Hooker returns to New York might be for the Heisman Trophy presentation in December. Even if he doesn't win the award, just being invited to the ceremony would be a major win for Hooker and the Vols.
