Tennessee Vols right handed pitcher Chase Dollander saw his UT career come to an end on Tuesday night thanks to a 5-0 loss to the LSU Tigers.

The loss to LSU, Tennessee's second to the Tigers this week, eliminated the Vols from the College World Series.

Dollander was the 2022 SEC pitcher of the year after finishing last season with a 2.39 ERA in 16 games.

The Georgia native didn't find nearly as much success in 2023, finishing with a 4.75 ERA in 17 games. Some sloppy defense didn't help Dollander at times — especially early in the season — but the right hander wasn't nearly as sharp in 2023 as he was in 2022.

Despite the struggles, Dollander is still viewed as one of the top prospects in the 2023 MLB Draft.

In fact, The Athletic's Keith Law thinks Dollander will be a top 10 selection in next month's draft.

Law has the Colorado Rockies selecting Dollander with the No. 9 overall selection.

From The Athletic: Word is the Rockies would probably take the best college pitcher available here, which could be Dollander, Lowder, maybe even Joe Whitman if you really value the lefthandedness. They’d love Walker Jenkins and they’re in on Meyer.

Dollander has major league stuff, which is what MLB teams will look at more than the numbers.

Though while I'm sure Dollander will be happy just to be drafted, he'd likely prefer to head somewhere other than Colorado, which isn't exactly a pitcher's paradise.
