Jalin Hyatt is the Tennessee Vols wide receiver getting all the hype ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft — and deservedly so…he's a tremendous player — but Cedric Tillman is someone that also deserves some hype.

Tillman was the SEC's leading returning wide receiver entering the 2022 season after catching 64 passes for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021.

Unfortunately for Tillman, he suffered an ankle injury early in the 2022 season that caused him to miss a significant amount of action. As result, Tillman's draft stock dropped quite a bit.

Tillman is expected to be a second or third round pick after his injury-shortened 2022 season.

Pro Football Network's latest mock draft has Tillman being selected in the second round (No. 63 overall) and landing in a dream situation with the Kansas City Chiefs.

From PFN: Getting the chance to take Cedric Tillman at this point in the draft makes this a no-brainer pick for Kansas City. The Chiefs have speed but lost JuJu Smith-Schuster this offseason, and Tillman brings similar consistency and instincts. Giving Mahomes a big-bodied threat would also help the unit’s versatility.

Tillman would be a perfect replacement for JuJu Smith-Schuster in Kansas City. The former Vol is adept at making contested catches and moving the chains. He's not a burner, but he can be a vertical threat at times.

And playing with Patrick Mahomes would be a dream for any wide receiver — especially a rookie.

We'll see how the draft plays out, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs have their eyes on Tillman in the second round.
