Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is quickly making his presence felt with the New York Giants.

Hyatt, a third round selection by the Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft, had his best day of training camp on Sunday with several impressive catches, including a 65-yard yard touchdown.

The former Tennessee standout is hoping to earn a key role with the Giants this fall.

We'll have to wait another month to see if Hyatt is able to earn that role. He's off to a good start, but he'll have to show that he can be consistent over the next month before the regular season starts.

While we'll have to wait to see how the wide receiver battle plays out in New York, one thing with Hyatt is already certain — he's earning the respect of his veteran teammates.

Wide receiver Sterling Shepard, a former Oklahoma standout (he scored a couple of touchdowns in the Sooners' win against Tennessee in 2015), showed Hyatt some respect via an Instagram story on Sunday.

Shepard re-posted one of Hyatt's big plays from Sunday with a couple of 😤 emojis.

Earning the respect of veterans can be tough for some young players. But it appears Hyatt isn't having any issues in that department. That's undoubtedly a great sign for his NFL future.
