2027 recruit from Georgia makes strong statement about the Tennessee Vols’ coaching staff
The Tennessee Vols are one of the top schools for a 2027 three-star safety from Georgia.
The Tennessee Vols are one of the top schools for 2027 three-star defensive back Alex Scott.
Scott, 5-foot-10/180 pounds from Lyons, GA, is rated by On3 as the No. 56 safety in the nation and the No. 61 player in the state of Georgia.
The NC State Wolfpack and the Texas A&M Aggies are also in the mix for Scott.
Alex Scott makes strong statement about Tennessee’s coaching staff
Scott, who has already visited Tennessee once, spoke to Rivals.com this week about his recruitment.
The three-star recruit told Rivals.com that Tennessee has the best coaching staff “by far”.
“I haven’t been to a Tennessee game yet, but I have been there on a visit,” said Scott. “They probably have the best coaching staff, by far.”
That’s certainly a strong endorsement from a recruit that’s starting to pick up more interest from top programs. The Georgia Bulldogs, in fact, will host Scott on a visit this weekend.
We’ll see if Tennessee’s “best coaching staff” can help the Vols win this recruiting battle, though it doesn’t sound like Scott is close to making a decision.
Tennessee currently has four players committed to its 2027 recruiting class.
