2026 five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon, a Tennessee Vols commit since last August, seemingly solidified his status as the No. 1 overall recruit in the nation.

Brandon performed at a high level at the Navy All-American Bowl last week and "lived up to his billing as the No. 1 ranked prospect in the class of 2026" according to 247Sports' Andrew Ivins

From 247Sports: It has been a while since we have seen a five-star prospect lace up the cleats and compete inside the AlamoDome, and Faizon Brandon absolutely lived up to his billing as the No. 1-ranked prospect in the class of 2026 — so much that we would argue he's the most talented recruit to actually work out at the National Combine since Lawerence in 2017.

Brandon displayed a live arm during drills and was accurate to all three levels. He then showcased some nice touch during 1-on-1 drills and was able to throw his targets open. Brandon has posted a 29-1 record as a starter the past two seasons at Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley and is coming off an 11th-grade campaign in which he completed 77.1% of his passes for 2,814 yards and 35 touchdowns against just two interceptions.

It goes without saying that other programs are going to continue hitting up Brandon with the hopes that they can flip him from Tennessee.

Vols fans, however, shouldn't be too concerned when it comes to the possibility of Brandon flipping his commitment to another program.

"I don't plan on going anywhere," said Brandon to Rivals.com this week. "I'm working on trying to deal with my class and getting more kids committed to Tennessee so we can have a great program."

It certainly sounds like Brandon is 100 percent locked in with the Vols. And it sounds like his focus is on trying to help Tennessee land some elite recruits (one player that Brandon is working to bring to UT is 2026 five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys).

The Vols will have to continue to recruit Brandon until he signs in December, but it doesn't appear that Tennessee is any danger of losing the elite quarterback recruit to another program.
