Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre had a request this week for the Tennessee Vols baseball program.

Favre, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, played college football at Southern Mississippi.

Earlier this week, the Vols took down Southern Miss in the Hattiesburg Super Regional, ending the Golden Eagles' 2023 season.

After Tennessee's win, Favre took to Twitter to express appreciation for Southern Miss head coach Scott Berry, who retired following the loss.

Favre also praised Tennessee for the class they showed toward Berry immediately after the game (UT briefly paused their celebration to recognize Berry).

Additionally, the legendary quarterback had a request for the Vols — Favre wants Tennessee to go win the College World Series.

"Hats off to the Vols and great show of class and respect to Coach Berry after the game now go win it," tweeted Favre.

Tennessee will take the field on Saturday night in Omaha against LSU at 7:00 PM ET. If the Vols win, they'll play the winner of the Wake Forest vs Stanford matchup. If Tennessee's loses, they'll head to the elimination bracket where they would play the loser of the Wake Forest vs Stanford game.
