Country music superstar Morgan Wallen, an East Tennessee native who is a diehard Vols fan, took to Twitter on Thursday to throw a little shade at Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin tweeted a clip of an Ole Miss football practice with one of Wallen's songs blaring in the background. The Rebels head coach tagged Wallen in the tweet.

Wallen responded with some snark, tweeting back "Heupel is looking for a quality offensive coordinator".

The Vols, of course, already have a quality offensive coordinator in Alex Golesh (Kiffin actually tried to hire Golesh at Ole Miss this offseason, but Golesh stayed at Tennessee).

Wallen, who often references the Vols in his songs, knows that. He's just simply insinuating that Heupel is a better offensive coach than Kiffin.

Statistically, he's right. Heupel and the Vols were the No. 7 scoring team in the nation last season, while Kiffin and the Rebels were the No. 24 scoring team in the nation.

I think the Vols are just fine with Heupel and Golesh running the show. Wallen's shade at Kiffin, though, is still sure to make Tennessee fans smile this week.
