The Tennessee Vols are receiving a visit from one of the top 2025 defensive recruits in the nation this weekend.

According to On3, 2025 four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt will be in Knoxville this weekend for the first time.

Wyatt, 6-foot-3/215 lbs from Santa Ana, CA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 6 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of California. He's also rated as the No. 58 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

After visiting Tennessee this weekend, Wyatt will return to Rocky Top for an official visit on June 14. Wyatt is expected to make a decision shortly after his official visits this summer.

Miami, Oregon, and Texas are among the other programs in the mix for Wyatt.

Oregon, for now, appears to be the team to beat in this recruiting battle, though that could certainly change with a great visit to Tennessee.

"As of right now, Oregon is still that team that’s at the top for me when comparing schools," said Wyatt to On3. "They feel as if they’ve got me already. They want me there.”

Wyatt attends the same high school in California (Mater Dei) that current Vols wide receiver Bru McCoy attended, which gives the Vols a nice west coast connection to the coveted four-star recruit.
