A former NFL general manager made a big prediction for Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt at the NFL Draft combine this week.

The 33rd team recently spoke with seven former NFL general managers/scouts about what they expect to happen at the NFL Draft combine.

Rick Spielman, a former NFL general manager for the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings, is expecting Hyatt to run an extremely fast 40 time.

In fact, he expects Hyatt to run the fastest 40 time of anyone at this year's combine.

From The 33rd Team:

“Tennessee WR Jalin Hyatt will run the combine’s fastest 40-yard dash time. When you watch him on tape, you see his unique burst off the line of scrimmage and a second gear to run by defensive backs as they come out of their turn. Hyatt has been running past future NFL players in the SEC. That should all equate to the fastest 40 time.”

That's not exactly a bold prediction — everyone knows Hyatt has elite speed. However, he won't be the only fast player in Indianapolis this week. So the fact that Spielman thinks Hyatt will be the fastest player out of a large group of elite-level players shows you how he's viewed in NFL circles.

By the way, Hyatt deserves some kudos for not skipping the 40-yard dash.

Wide receivers are set to take part in on-field drills on Saturday at the combine.
