A former Tennessee Vols commit that recently entered the NCAA transfer portal will be announcing his transfer destination on Friday.

2026 four-star athlete Salesi Moa, who signed with the Utah Utes in December, entered the portal earlier this week.

Moa, 6-foot-1/190 pounds from Ogden, UT, committed to Tennessee in July, but he flipped to Utah during the early signing period (Moa’s dad played at Utah).

“I’m staying home,” said Moa to On3 after signing with Utah in December. “In the end, I felt like Utah was the place where I could build my legacy. I want to be legendary and I want my name cemented in the history of Utah football. This is my home, and this is where I’m writing my story.”

Salesi Moa plans to announce his transfer destination at the Polynesian Bowl

According to 247Sports, Moa will announce his transfer destination during the Polynesian Bowl on Friday night (which begins at 9:00 PM ET).

It’s believed that Moa will be the first transfer athlete to announce a commitment during the Polynesian Bowl.

Michigan is the most likely destination for Moa after former Utah head Kyle Whittingham was hired to replace Sherrone Moore as the head coach at Michigan.

Moa visited Michigan, while still being committed to Tennessee, shortly before signing with Utah.

It would be a surprise if it not’s the Wolverines for the dynamic athlete, but the maybe the Vols can pull off a stunner and bring the four-star recruit back to Rocky Top.
