Former Tennessee defensive back Brandon Turnage, a former Alabama player who transferred to UT ahead of the 2021 season, left Knoxville this offseason for Ole Miss.
Turnage is from Oxford and he told reporters earlier this month that he felt like it was time to return home.
On Saturday, the former Vol took part in a dunk contest during the festivities surrounding the Rebels' spring game.
And Turnage was declared the winner.
The athleticism from Turnage is obvious — though I'm sure Ole Miss fans were holding their breath any time a Rebels football player took flight during the dunk contest. The last thing anyone wants to see in that moment is an injury.
Fortunately for Turnage, he made it through the dunk contest unscathed and he now has an honor he can add to his résumé that he almost certainly never expected to earn when embarking on his college football career.
