Former Tennessee Vols running back John Kelly Jr went viral this week for a savage move he pulled off during a charity softball game.

Kelly, who is currently a running back for the Cleveland Browns, participated in a charity softball game with several of his NFL teammates.

At one point during the game, a grandmother hit a comebacker to the pitcher and she was slowly escorted down the first base line by another Browns player. She was almost to first base when Kelly, who had received the ball from a teammate, tagged first base just before the grandmother got to the bag.

Kelly heard some boos from the crowd after recording the out (the celebration from Kelly after recording the out probably didn't help).

"Gotta be quicker then that granny," wrote Kelly on Twitter/X.com.

Hey, competitors compete, no matter the arena. And Kelly was an extremely competitive player for the Vols, despite seeing most of his action during a down year (2017) at Tennessee.
