Los Angeles Rams EDGE Byron Young was named to his first career Pro Bowl on Tuesday.
Young, a former Vols pass rusher who played at Tennessee from 2021 to 2022, has totaled 11 sacks and 72 tackles in 15 games this season. The former Vol now has 26.5 sacks since entering the NFL in 2023.
The South Carolina native was a third round selection by the Rams in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Young’s Pro Bowl honor comes a year after former Tennessee offensive lineman Trey Smith was named to his first career Pro Bowl.
Smith earned a huge contract extension the offseason after his first Pro Bowl appearance.
Young could be in a similar situation as he’ll be entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2026. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Young receives an extension before next season.
“The 2023 third-round pick is also setting himself up for a big contract extension, which he’s eligible for after the season,” noted ESPN’s Sarah Barshop recently.
Young will get a chance to add to his season totals in the final two weeks of the regular season against the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals.
