Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Josh Smith is getting into the coaching business.
Smith, who is from Knoxville, was announced on Tuesday as the new wide receivers coach at Knoxville Catholic.
Smith is a former three-star recruit who played at Tennessee from 2013 to 2017. He finished his Volunteers career with 63 receptions for 764 yards and five touchdowns.
In 2015, Smith scored touchdowns in back to back weeks against Georgia and Alabama.
Smith's touchdown catch against Georgia was particularly memorable as it came on fourth down with the Vols down by 21 points with just 1:13 left in the first half. Tennessee would go on to win the game 38-31.
Smith briefly spent some time in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints in 2018 after wrapping up his Tennessee career.
