Former Tennessee Vols starting pitcher Drew Beam had some fun with rivalry week on Tuesday night.
Beam, who was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the third round of the 2024 MLB Draft, took to Twitter/X.com on Tuesday to throw a jab at Vanderbilt ahead of Tennessee's big game against the Commodores.
"Just wanted to join in on little brother hate week," tweeted Beam, along with a video of him striking out a Vanderbilt hitter in 2023.
Beam grew up in the midstate, so he's certainly well-versed in the Tennessee/Vanderbilt rivalry.
The Vols are set to take on the Commodores at 11:00 AM CT in Nashville on Saturday. Tennessee needs a win against Vandy to secure a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff.
