The Tennessee Vols announced on Thursday that they'll be wearing their all-white "stormtrooper" uniforms against the Kentucky Wildcats this weekend in Lexington.
Part of Tennessee's uniform reveal included black socks and black cleats, which seems to be an odd choice for all-white uniforms.
And that's a sentiment that Hendon Hooker agrees with.
The former Vols quarterback commented "Whoever is picking the black socks and cleats is crazy" on Tennessee's Instagram post announcing the uniform combination.

Josh Heupel said during his first season at Tennessee (in 2021) that UT's player leadership council is part of picking the uniform combinations each week.
Tennessee wore all-white uniforms on the road three times in 2022. And each time, the Vols wore white cleats.

Hooker is right, whoever decided on the black cleats this year is crazy. The only way those make sense is if the Vols go back to the black outline on the numbers on the white jerseys (which they absolutely should).
