Tennessee Vols quarterback Joe Milton will have a familiar face joining him with the New England Patriots.

Milton was selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The former Vol quarterback is expected to compete for a backup quarterback role as a rookie in New England (the Patriots selected North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye in the first round).

Joining Milton in New England will be former Vols tight end Jacob Warren, who was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent shortly after the completion of this year's draft.

Warren, who is from Knoxville, is coming off his best collegiate season. In 2023, Warren caught 16 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns while playing a key role in the Vols' offense (tight end blocking is extremely important in Tennessee's offensive scheme — which is why Warren is well-equipped to play in the NFL).

The former Vol tight end caught eight touchdown passes during his career on Rocky Top. Four of those touchdowns were thrown by Milton.
