The Kim Caldwell era is off to a great start for the Tennessee Vols.

Caldwell, who replaced Kellie Harper as the head coach of the Lady Vols earlier this offseason, scored her first big win for the program when guard Jewel Spear announced her intentions to return to Tennessee next season.

Spear led the Lady Vols in made three-pointers this past season.

Over the weekend, Caldwell and Tennessee earned another huge off-the-court win.

Syracuse transfer forward Alyssa Latham announced her commitment to the Lady Vols on Saturday.

Latham averaged 8.6 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, and 1.3 blocks per game last season for Syracuse as a freshman.

The Illinois native committed to Tennessee just a day after visiting Knoxville.

Caldwell's biggest objective after getting hired to replace Harper was always going to be strengthening the roster for the 2024-25 season.

With Spear set to return and Latham on her way to Rocky Top, Caldwell is well on her way to putting a strong roster together for her first season leading the Lady Vols.
