2023 five-star Tennessee Vols commit Nico Iamaleava spent some time in Knoxville this weekend with a former NFL MVP.
Iamaleava, who committed to the Vols last month, was in town this weekend for a 7-on-7 tournament.
On Sunday, former Auburn Tigers superstar Cam Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP with the Carolina Panthers, was at Nico's tournament. And he spent some time speaking with the future Vol and imparting some life advice.
It certainly appears that Nico has Cam's respect (and vice versa).
Iamaleava should listen to any advice Cam has to offer. Sure, he's had a couple of negative moments (the laptop incident at Florida is the biggest thing that comes to mind), but he's still one of the greatest college football players of all time. If Nico can even come close to Newton's production at Auburn, the Vols are likely winning a national championship (especially in Josh Heupel's offense).
Nico is expected to officially sign with Tennessee in December.
