The Alabama Crimson Tide will visit the Tennessee Vols on Saturday for one of the most anticipated matchups of the season.
The Crimson Tide are a top five team – unsurprisingly. On the flip-side, the Vols are ranked #6. A top ten matchup in Knoxville is sure for some fireworks.
For Alabama, the biggest question mark is quarterback Bryce Young's health.
His availability is still unknown, and at least one national media member thinks that could determine the outcome of the game.
It is a completely valid take from Dinich.
Young is a Heisman candidate alongside Vols' QB Hendon Hooker when he is healthy. The Crimson Tide QB is projected to be a first-round draft pick in the spring as well.
Accordingly, the game plan to prepare for him as opposed to Alabama's backup QB Jalen Milroe is very different.
The drop-off in experience from Young to Milroe would be clear. The Vols would have to take advantage of that if he is the starter tomorrow.
Milroe has struggled through the air in his time replacing Young. He is just a very young quarterback showing some inconsistencies, and that should be expected. He also lost two fumbles against Texas A&M last weekend.
Against a team like A&M, you can get away with that. The Vols' offense will most likely take advantage of those type of turnovers.
Regardless, the Vols cannot take the Crimson Tide lightly. With or without Bryce Young, they are still Alabama. Their defense is still one of the best in the country.
Keep an eye on Young's status tomorrow morning before the SEC showdown.
