2025 four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava, the younger brother of Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava, revealed this week when he plans to announce his college commitment.
Iamaleava, 6-foot-3/185 lbs from Warren, CA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 11 quarterback in the nation and the No. 13 player in the state of California.
According to 247Sports, Iamaleava is planning to announce his commitment this summer, ahead of his high school senior season.
UCLA and Nebraska are the two schools at the top of his list, though Arizona is also working hard to land the talented four-star quarterback.
For now, it appears that UCLA is the team to beat for Iamaleava — especially since he grew up with an affinity for the Bruins.
"Growing up, I was more of a UCLA guy than a USC guy,” said Iamaleava to 247Sports. “I wanted to be different and I liked the colors, too."
The hype for Iamaleava has been a slow burn after his older brother's hyped recruitment that ended with a commitment to Tennessee.
But Iamaleava is a talented player in his own right. And it might even be fair to suggest that he's underrated.
The California native can make all the throws, he's athletic, can make plays with his feet and is accurate. Whoever lands Iamaleava will be getting a steal.
