Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Hyatt is coming off a huge season for the Vols, catching 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The South Carolina native won the Biletnikoff Award (given annually to the best pass catcher in college football) as a result of his breakout season in 2022.

Hyatt had a great showing at the NFL Draft combine this past week, likely solidifying his status as a first-round draft pick.

One team that's reportedly interested in drafting Hyatt is the Green Bay Packers.

SB Nation's "Acme Packing Company" noted this week Green Bay has legitimate interest in drafting Hyatt in next month's draft.

From Acme Packing Company: Tennessee receiver Jalin Hyatt is an important name for Green Bay fans to keep track of this offseason. Last draft cycle, multiple sources told me that Ohio State’s Chris Olave (187 pounds) was of particular interest to the team. Down in Indianapolis last week, multiple people told me that Hyatt is held in the same regard by the Packers’ scouts. Hopefully, a team won’t trade three top-120 picks to move up for Hyatt like the New Orleans Saints did for Olave last year

The Packers could definitely use another wide receiver — regardless of whether or not quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns in 2023.

There's just one problem with Green Bay's interest in Hyatt.

The Packers haven't drafted a wide receiver in the first round since 2002. It seems unlikely that they'd take Hyatt at No. 15 overall in the first round when they haven't selected a wide receiver in the first round in over 20 years.

Green Bay's next pick is at No. 45 (round two). There's no way Hyatt falls that far in the draft. So either the Packers will have to buck an organizational trend to draft Hyatt, or they'll have to trade up from No. 45 to land the former Vol.
