Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman named the "must-get" recruiting targets for each SEC program in the 2026 recruiting cycle and he went with an obvious choice for the Tennessee Vols.

Spiegelman thinks four-star wide receiver Joel Wyatt is the biggest "must-get" player for the Volunteers in the 2026 recruiting cycle .

From Rivals.com: Wyatt had a spectacular junior season at Bell Buckle (Tenn.) Webb last fall – and in between made a string of visits nearby to Rocky Top. Tennessee is aiming to keep Wyatt in-state and things are trending in that direction.

Wyatt, 6-foot-4/195 lbs from Bell Buckle, TN, is rated by On3 as the No. 3 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 35 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class (which means he's almost a five-star recruit).

Several programs are in the mix for Wyatt, including Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt.

It's Tennessee, though, that's viewed as the early favorite for the extremely talented wide receiver.

Wyatt is expected to make a decision in the summer months, so Vols fans won't have too wait long to see if Tennessee can secure a commitment from their top 2026 in-state recruiting target.
