A former four-star Tennessee Vols commit appears to be trending toward another SEC program.

2025 four-star defensive back Shamar Arnoux committed to Tennessee on April 7, 2023. He remained committed to the Vols through the 2023 college football season before decommitting from Tennessee in February.

Arnoux, 6-foot-2/170 lbs from Carrollton, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 31 cornerback in the nation and the No. 43 player in the state of Georgia.

Since decommitting from Tennessee, Arnoux has received significant interest from numerous major college football programs.

Arnoux recently took official visits to Auburn and USC. And he's scheduled to take an official visit to Florida State this weekend. He also received an offer from Georgia in late May.

For now, Auburn and USC appear to be the top two suitors for Arnoux as he inches closer to a decision.

"The four-star cornerback who had been committed to Tennessee loved how genuine and authentic Auburn’s coaching staff was during his visit and the message from them is that he could learn from two of the best: Position coaches Wesley McGriff and Charles Kelly," noted Rivals.com's Adam Gorney this week

USC is a serious threat to land Arnoux because his his high school teammate, 2025 five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, is committed to the Trojans.

No decision has been made yet for Arnoux, but it feels likely that Tennessee will be playing against the former Vols commit at some point in the not-so-distant future.
