Tennessee Vols LHP Zander Sechrist dazzled in his final home start last week, helping UT beat Evansville in the deciding game of the Knoxville Super Regional.

Sechrist pitched 6.1 innings against Evansville, allowing just six hits and one unearned run while striking out six.

At one point during the game, Sechrist escaped a bases loaded jam without allowing a run when he got Evansville shortstop Simon Scherry to ground out in the top of the fourth.

After escaping the jam, Sechrist, according to Vols LHP Kirby Connell (via ESPN), stood in the dugout and yelled "Lemon Squeeze".

Sechrist says he has no idea why he blurted the seemingly random phrase.

From ESPN: Connell said in super regionals, when Sechrist got out of a bases-loaded jam, he stood in the dugout and yelled the words "lemon squeeze."

Sechrist said he was amped up and blurted out whatever was on his mind. He has no idea why he said that, however.

"Maybe," Connell said, "he was thinking about making lemonade later."

While the origin of the phrase is unknown, perhaps it can become a rallying cry for the Vols as they continue their pursuit of a national championship in Omaha.

Tennessee is just three wins away from hoisting the trophy. The Vols will play Florida State on Wednesday afternoon. If Tennessee wins, they'll advance to the College World Series best-of-three finals. If they lose, they'll play Florida State again on Thursday with their season on the line.

It's time for the Vols to squeeze the lemon….whatever that means.
