2023 five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who committed to the Tennessee Vols on Monday, compared himself this week to an NFL superstar.

Iamaleava, 6-foot-5/195 lbs from Long Beach, CA, told Outkick 360 that he feels like his game is similar to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen's game.

"I watch every quarterback in the league," said Iamaleava to Outkick 360. "I pretty much take whatever I like and see if I can add it to my game."

"My favorite quarterback in the league is Josh Allen," added Iamaleava. "I think he’s the best quarterback in the league. Him and Tom Brady I’d say are the two guys I watch most…My comparison may be Josh Allen."

Allen was lightly recruited out of high school and ended up playing college football at Wyoming.

Over the last two years, Allen has passed for nearly 9,000 yards and rushed for over 1,00 yards. I'm sure Vol fans would be thrilled with that type of quarterback play from Iamaleava.

Allen, like Iamaleava, was an elite athlete in other sports growing up. The California native was an excellent baseball and basketball player. He also competed in karate and gymnastics.

Iamaleava is a high-level volleyball player in addition to playing football.

If Nico wants to be the next Allen, he'll need to bulk up in college (Allen weighs nearly 240 lbs). Otherwise, this feels like a solid comparison. Iamaleava and Allen each have the tools to win in the air or on the ground.

Tennessee got a good one in Iamaleava. Now they just need to build around him.
