The Tennessee Vols are one of the top 12 schools for a 2027 four-star quarterback.

2027 four-star quarterback Trae Taylor dropped his top 12 schools on Thursday and he included Tennessee, along with Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio State, South Carolina, Ole Miss, NC State, Iowa, West Virginia, Illinois, and LSU.

Taylor, 6-foot-2/175 lbs from Mundelein, IL, is rated by Rivals.com as the No. 33 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

Taylor told On3 that he hopes to commit by next May, which means this recruitment could get exciting very quickly.

“After that I’ll be training and getting ready for next season,” said Taylor to On3. “I’d love to commit by May if possible. So during camp season I can help recruit for the school I’m committed to. But if I need to push back my commitment date I will until I’m 100 percent in on a school. I don’t want to be a kid to commit then decommit if possible.”

Tennessee doesn't have any players committed to its 2027 recruiting class yet.
