A Tennessee Vols offensive analyst who has been at UT for the last four reasons reportedly landed an offensive coordinator job this week
According to a report from Football Scoop's John Brice, Vols offensive analyst Mitch Militello is heading to Kennesaw State to serve as the program's offensive coordinator.
Former Tennessee running backs coach Jerry Mack, who coached at UT from 2021 to 2023, was named as the new head coach at Kennesaw State on Sunday.
Militello has worked under Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel for nearly a decade. When Heupel was the offensive coordinator at Missouri, Militello was a student assistant for the Tigers. Militello then followed Heupel to UCF where he was a graduate assistant. He joined Heupel at Tennessee in early 2021.
If Militello, who has primarily worked with the quarterbacks at Tennessee, finds success calling plays at Kennesaw State, he could become a top option to return to UT as a quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator in the future.
