2026 four-star defensive lineman Tyson Bacon has been committed to the Tennessee Vols since last October, but he's still listening to what other programs have to say.

Bacon, 6-foot-3/248 lbs from Hoover, AL, is set to take official visits this spring/summer to Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, USC, and Washington. He'll also return to Tennessee for an official visit in late June.

While Bacon is still committed to the Volunteers, he seemingly left the door open for his commitment to potentially flip before the early signing period in December.

"I'm still committed (to Tennessee), but I'm just making sure I am enjoying the recruitment process and where I wind up at is where I will thrive and enjoy the culture the most," said Bacon to 247Sports recently. "I want to see what schools have to offer and, like I said, I want to make sure I have all the information I need."

Bacon is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 35 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 13 player in the state of Alabama.

Michigan and Georgia, specifically, loom as large threats to flip Bacon from Tennessee.

Bacon told On3 that he's "definitely" interested in the Wolverines, noting that Michigan is "almost like home now".

“I was originally born in Georgia, but Michigan is where I was made," said Bacon to On3.

Bacon's stock has continued to rise since he committed to the Vols in October. And it sounds like he's going to give other programs a shot at swiping him from Tennessee.

The Vols are still in a good spot for Bacon, but they're going to have to fend off some heavyweights to get this recruiting battle to the finish line.
