The Tennessee Vols are reportedly one of the programs standing out early for a 2027 four-star quarterback from out west.

On3’s Adam Gorney noted on Thursday that Tennessee is one of the schools “standing out the most” for 2027 four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf.

“A decision will probably be done by the spring and there is a major SEC focus to Roskopf’s early recruitment with Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee standing out most,” wrote Gorney.

Roskopf, 6-foot-5/235 lbs from Goodyear, AZ, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 12 quarterback in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Arizona.

Blake Roskopf has already visited the Tennessee Vols a couple of times

Roskopf visited the Georgia Bulldogs last month for UGA’s game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

According to 247Sports’ Ryan Callahan, Roskopf is expected to visit Tennessee for a game later this season.

Callahan also noted that Roskopf visited Tennessee in March and in June.

We’ll see how this recruiting battle shapes up over the next few months. It sounds like the four-star recruit should be ready to make a decision by next spring.

Tennessee currently has just one player committed to its 2027 recruiting class — three-star linebacker JP Peace, a Vol legacy player.
