The Tennessee Vols are one of the teams standing out early for 2026 four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory.

Gregory, 6-foot-3/170 lbs from Douglasville, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 5 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 7 player in the state of Georgia. He's also rated as the No. 31 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, along with Tennessee, are the programs that have made a strong impression on Gregory so far.

"Coach (Josh) Heupel and Coach (Kelsey) Pope have been on me a lot, and I love it," said Gregory to Rivals.com this week. "Those are the two big things with me — relationships with me and also getting on the field — and I've been down there (Tennessee) a few times already. Every time I'm down there, I've loved it."

It's still extremely early in Gregory's recruitment, so there's no planned commitment date on the horizon.

Gregory has a legitimate chance to reach five-star status by the time he signs (likely in late 2025), so I'd expect him to continue to be one of the Vols' top recruiting targets next spring/summer.

Tennessee showed during the 2024 recruiting cycle that they're more than capable of going into the state of Georgia and landing a five-star recruit (Mike Matthews) over the Bulldogs. I certainly wouldn't rule out the Vols doing it again.
