Tennessee Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt handles press conferences similarly to a lot of other head coaches.

While Pruitt injects plenty of his own personality into press conferences, he's careful not to give away too much information. He's candid, but he's not overly forthcoming.

Sometimes, however, Pruitt gets in a groove and gives the media some good stuff.

Wednesday night during "Vol Calls", his final public appearance before Saturday's game against the Florida Gators, was one of those times.

Pruitt made three revelations during Vol Calls that I found particularly interesting.

Pruitt does indeed hate Florida

Pruitt was asked point blank by a fan on Wednesday night if he hates Florida. It was a two-part question and Pruitt gave a lengthy response the second part of the question. But just when it seemed like the second year Vols head coach was going to skip over the Florida hate portion of the question, he ended with "And yes, I hate Florida"

Typically, head coaches will dance around that question by mentioning all the respect they have for the opponent (which Pruitt mentioned earlier this week) and how every game in the SEC is a battle. But Pruitt didn't do that. And his response was certainly endearing to Tennessee fans.

Pruitt checks Twitter every morning

I never took Pruitt as a Twitter person, but apparently the young head coach checks it every morning.

Now, that doesn't necessarily mean he's checking his Twitter mentions to read responses from fans. I doubt he's looking for any coaching suggestions on social media.

Pruitt said he checks Twitter every morning to see what's trending and to catch up on news.

The older I’ve gotten, I pick up my phone in the morning and I see what’s trending on Twitter to get the world news, to see what’s going on

It makes sense. News hits Twitter before it hits anywhere else.

Though it's still hard to picture Pruitt picking up his phone and clicking on the "what's trending" section of Twitter.

Pruitt has placed limits on players tweeting

Pruitt was asked point blank by a fan if there are any restrictions for players when it comes to social media. I thought Pruitt's response was extremely interesting.

Pruitt responded that in the "last couple of weeks" Tennessee has placed restrictions on tweeting and social media. He didn't get into any specifics on what those limits are (we know that quarterback Jarrett Guarantano recently took to Twitter to wish Florida quarterback Feleipe Franks a speedy recovery).

It probably isn't a coincidence that the Twitter limits come only a few weeks after former Vols wide receiver Jordan Murphy retweeted a tweet making fun of Tennessee's season opening loss to Georgia State.

Hating Florida and checking Twitter. Maybe Pruitt was born to coach Tennessee after all.
