On3 national recruiting director Chad Simmons predicted this week that the Tennessee Vols will land one of their top 2025 recruiting targets.
Simmons placed a prediction on Monday for the Vols to land 2025 four-star edge rusher Jayden Loftin.
"Josh Heupel has been involved in his (Loftin's) recruitment and that means a lot to Loftin and his family," wrote Simmons. "Tennessee has recruited Loftin as hard as anyone, and coming off this official visit to Knoxville, I like their position. I have logged a pick for the Vols on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine."
Loftin, 6-foot-4/240 lbs from Somerville, NJ, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 23 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 9 player in the state of New Jersey. He took an official visit to Tennessee this past weekend.
Wisconsin, Syracuse, and Penn State are also in the mix for Loftin, but it sounds like the Vols have quite a lead in this recruiting battle.
Loftin doesn't currently have a planned commitment date.
The Vols currently have 10 players committed to their 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 20 in the nation. That ranking will rise as Tennessee adds more commits to their 2025 class.
