One of the Tennessee Vols' 2020 offensive line recruiting targets decommitted from the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday afternoon.
Three-star offensive tackle/guard Richard Leonard made the announcement via Twitter by saying his recruitment is "wide open".
The Florida native originally committed to the Wildcats last October. His decommitment from Kentucky comes after he took an unofficial visit to Tennessee for the Vols' spring game last weekend.
Leonard, 6-foot-3/315 lbs, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 100 player in the state of Florida and the No. 48 offensive guard in the nation.
Considering the timing of Leonard's decommitment, I'd say the Vols are in good shape if they're serious about their pursuit of the former Kentucky commit.
Tennessee definitely needs more size along their offensive line and Leonard certainly fits the bill. He'd be a good fit for the Vols.
