The Tennessee Vols are reportedly set to receive a visit from one of the top recruits in the nation.

According to a report from On3's Chad Simmons, 2026 four-star edge rusher Anthony Jones will take an official visit to Tennessee on June 20.

Jones, 6-foot-4/240 lbs from Mobile, AL, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 2 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Alabama. He's also rated as the No. 11 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class (which means Jones will eventually be a five-star recruit).

Scouting report via 247Sports: Will be on the short list when talking about the best edge rushers in the ’26 class. Shows off an elite get-off, can dip and bend and has great closing speed. Has the athleticism to chase down plays from behind and shows a crazy motor. Natural pass rusher at an early age and knows how to use his hands and can win with multiple counters. Doesn’t rely on just a bull or speed rush but has both in his arsenal. Is a tough, physical player in run support, strong at the point of attack and hits like a truck. Can move around along the defensive line as well as play out in space. Can take on and beat a double team and has all the traits to be an immediate impact player at the next level. Ceiling is extremely high and if he stays healthy and continues to develop at his current rate, there’s no reason why he won’t be playing on Sunday’s for a long time.

Jones, who visited Knoxville last fall for the Volunteers' win against Alabama, returned to Tennessee for a visit earlier this month.

"They (Tennessee) are for sure at the top of my list right now,” said Jones to On3 after his recent visit to UT. “What really made this visit different was how I was able to engage more with the coaches too and go over their schemes. They showed me I was a top priority.”

Jones is expected to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for Alabama's junior day.

Arizona State, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, UCLA, USC, and Washington are also in the mix for Jones.
