A Tennessee Vols starter earned an impressive SEC honor on Monday.

Vols senior starting left guard Andrej Karic was named an SEC co-offensive lineman of the week on Monday after his strong performance in Tennessee's 36-23 win against the Vanderbilt Commodores this past weekend.

Karic played 74 of 75 snaps in the win against Vanderbilt (he had to come out for one snap when his helmet came off). He graded out (per Pro Football Focus) as the Vols' second highest graded offensive lineman (behind Dayne Davis, who played 34 of 75 snaps).

Last season, Karic, who transferred from Texas to Tennessee after the 2022 season, played in just five games for the Vols after suffering a lower body injury that cost him the final eight games of the year.

Karic has rebounded to play extremely well for Tennessee in 2024, locking down the left guard position, which was essentially an open competition entering the year.

Karic, who is a fifth-year senior, is in his final season of eligibility.
