The Tennessee Vols are one of four teams that's standing out for 2026 four-star defensive back Keenan Harris.
Harris, 6-foot-1/210 lbs from St. Louis, MO, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 21 safety in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri.
According to On3's Chad Simmons, Tennessee, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma are the teams that are making Harris feel like a "priority".
“The environment of the school, the history and the culture are all key things that I look at during my visits….I want to be at a place that fits me for my educational and athletic abilities,” said Harris to On3 of what he's looking for in a program. “I also want to play for a program that can help me get to the next level.”
Missouri was the first major program to offer Harris in late 2022. The Vols, however, weren't far behind, extending an offer to the talented defensive back on January 17, 2023 (UT was the second SEC program to offer Harris).
It's still early in the recruiting process, and it'll be tough to steal an in-state recruit from Missouri, but it sounds like Tennessee should at least be a big factor in Harris' decision, whenever that eventually comes.
