The Tennessee Vols are reportedly receiving a transfer visit from a player that would be a sneaky good addition for the program.

According to CBS Sports college football insider Chris Hummer, Tennessee is set to receive a visit this week from West Virginia transfer offensive lineman Donovan Haslam.

Haslam, 6-foot-3/346 pounds from Perry, GA, started his career at Austin Peay before transferring to West Virginia.

The Georgia native was on Austin Peay’s roster in 2023 when the Governors played Tennessee in Knoxville, but Haslam didn’t play in that game.

Hummer noted that Haslam played left guard, left tackle, and right guard this past season for the Mountaineers.

Haslam allowed zero sacks in 2025.

Donovan Haslam would be a great addition for Tennessee

Tennessee doesn’t have much offensive line depth after recently losing a couple of key backups (William Satterwhite, Max Anderson, and Bennett Warren) to the transfer portal.

The Vols landed LSU transfer offensive lineman Ory Williams earlier this month, but Tennessee could still use more bodies in their offensive line room.

At this point, it’s unclear what Tennessee’s starting offensive line will look like in 2026.

The assumption is that offensive tackle David Sanders, center Sam Pendleton, and guard Wendell Moe are locked into starting spots, which would leave Williams and Jesse Perry to battle with Haslam (if he lands with the Vols) for the final two starting spots.

Perry and Haslam can each play guard or tackle.

It’s harder than ever to build quality offensive line depth. Landing Haslam, however, would absolutely strengthen Tennessee’s offensive line room and help provide some important depth.
