Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker had to pay off a bet with a Detroit Lions teammate this week thanks to UT's 31-17 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
Lions quarterback Jake Fromm, a former Georgia standout, posted a photo on his Instagram story of Hooker in a Bulldogs hoodie on Wednesday evening.
Hooker reposted the photo on his Instagram story with the caption "I look soo thrilled".
Former Vols in the NFL have won most of their bets with teammates this season thanks to Tennessee's 8-2 record (which includes wins against Florida and Alabama). But it's been a while — since 2016 to be exact — since a Vols player in the NFL has won a bet against a former Georgia player.
Tennessee will play the Bulldogs in Knoxville in 2025. Vols fans will certainly be hoping to finally see a former Georgia player in the NFL donning Tennessee orange after next season's matchup.
