Jauan Jennings is a Tennessee Vols legend mostly due to the incredible leadership he showed on the field on a weekly basis while he was in Knoxville.
Jennings, who was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, was always firing up teammates or fighting for extra yards while at Tennessee.
So it should come as no surprise that Jennings is displaying that same leadership in the NFL.
What probably wasn't expected, however, was Jennings having to tell his former Vol teammate Jalen Hurd how to line up in a preseason game.
Hurd, who was drafted by the 49ers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, had some trouble lining up during a game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jennings was there to point him in the right direction.
Jennings is always locked in — even in a meaningless preseason game.
That isn't a shock to anyone who watched him play at Tennessee.
