The Tennessee Titans officially did what their fans have been begging for over the years. On Sunday evening, they unveiled their "new" throwback uniforms, a version of the Houston Oilers' set. It's a great look that many folks have been clamoring for, but the wait was worth it.

The Titans will wear the same uniforms the Houston Oilers wore for nearly two decades in Houston, until 1998, when the franchise also wore them as the Tennessee Oilers. The uniforms represent the longest span of Oilers uniforms in franchise history, and arguably the most beloved uniform. — Jim Wyatt, Titans Website

Oilers legend Warren Moon had a strong statement regarding the uniforms on Twitter shortly after the team's announcement.

It's clear that he loves the uniforms and roots for the Titans – amid any controversy between the Titans and Houston Texans when it comes to the Oilers' past. The Titans are one of many teams that have released a new throwback uniform during this offseason around the NFL.

The light blue Oilers throwbacks will replace the recently-used, light blue "Titans" jerseys as the team's third jersey option. Tennessee will still have the navy and the white uniforms, too. The Titans will wear the throwback uniforms in two home games this season. They won't wear them on the road.

No matter what – one legendary QB with ties to the Oilers is a major fan of the Titans' latest decision.
