The Notre Dame battle against Texas A&M is finally almost here, set to kickoff on Saturday night at 7:30 PM eastern time. On one side, we have a very talented Irish squad with some high expectations. On the other side, the Aggies have been an under-producing team with loads of talent.

There has never been a question of talent in College Station, and NFL scouts have certainly taken notice. That includes several 2025 NFL Draft prospects to know. Here are the Aggies standouts who have already been impressive evaluators on the next level.

QB Conner Weigman

Weigman is potentially one of the more talented passers in the 2025 NFL Draft class. Gifted with prototypical size at 6-3 and 220 pounds, with solid movement skills and a talented arm, the upside is immense. When Weigman has been on the field, he has also been tremendous. In nine games played, he’s thrown for 1,875 yards and 18 total touchdowns, while throwing just two interceptions. The issue is he’s only been available for nine games in two seasons. Weigman must show he can stay healthy.

EDGE Nic Scourton

There is an argument that Scourton is the best player who will be on the field on Saturday night on either side. Blessed with imposing size at 6-4 and 285 pounds, the former Purdue standout brings the power profile you would expect. His movement skills and closing speed, however, is not something many would anticipate. Scourton is an outstanding pass rusher who can win with speed, power, or nuance. He’s fresh off of a fantastic sophomore season with the Boilermakers, where he collected 10 sacks and 15 tackles for loss.

IDL Shemar Turner

Turner is a player who folks have known about for some time now, coming to College Station as a former highly regarded recruit. After playing a lot on the edge, Turner has made the full move inside this offseason. He’s now up to a listed at 300 pounds, and brings impressive athleticism from the inside. Turner enters the 2024 season with 17 tackles for loss and eight sacks in his career.

CB Tyreek Chappell

It has been an interesting career for Chappell, who started fast during his Aggie career. After a stellar freshman campaign, he looked like he was on the fast track to NFL stardom. His play has leveled off since then, and he was banged up a ton in 2023. When healthy, Chappell has really good zone instincts and fluidity that could allow him to be drafted somewhere on day three of the 2025 NFL Draft. The key is going to be staying healthy, and finishing more plays. Chappell has broken up 24 passes in his career, but has managed to just pull down two interceptions.

Wait and see prospects

The offensive line has some talent, but more development is needed. Left tackle Trey Zuhn III is probably the best prospect with Chase Bisontis not being eligible until 2026. Right tackle Reuben Fatheree looked like he was going to be a big time prospect once upon a time, but has been inconsistent and injured pretty much consistently since a dominant freshman year.

At wide receiver, there are some names but no clear prospects right now. Former Louisiana Tech speedster Cyrus Allen is worth keeping an eye on, as are returners Noah Thomas and Moose Muhammad. All of them are projections right now with a lot to prove. You can add in Fresno State transfer tight end Tre Watson, and Donovan Green coming back from injury.

Could this be the year defensive end Shemar Stewart breaks out? It seems very possible, but there is a lot he needs to prove. Outside of him, there are a couple interesting defensive backs like safety Bryce Anderson, Central Michigan transfer Trey Jones III, and Kansa State cornerback transfer Will Lee III. Each have talent but they remain more potential than known product right now.
